Advent Quiet Day - Preparing to Meet our Lord - December 16, 2023

St. Paul’s La Porte welcomes you to join us for an Advent Quiet Day

On Saturday December 16th from 9:45-3:30 CT

Presented by Mother Debra Susannah Mary Rhodes, CMMR

PREPARING TO MEET OUR LORD:

Readying our hearts for God by healing our hearts through God by uniting our hearts to God in the mystical love of his crucified heart

Through silence, including prayer, meditation, Scripture, personal expression of experience (through journaling, drawing, etc.) and some group sharing we will open our hearts to receive Christ as we await his arrival: as a newborn baby on Christmas Day, as Lord and King of the Universe on the day of the Resurrection, and as his Body and Blood each time we celebrate the Eucharist. The morning session will be about claiming our identities as beloved children of God and healing our own wounds; during the afternoon session we will work on forgiveness of others.

Lunch is included, and there is no fee, but donations are gratefully accepted. Please RSVP to motherdebbi@gmail.com by December 8th so we can plan accordingly.
