First Friday Concert - May 3, 2024

The First Friday Concert at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1000 Michigan Ave., La Porte, will be May 3 at 12:10 p.m. It will feature pianist Garfield Sallman, a native of Valparaiso and graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has been a frequent visitor to St. Paul’s, where his parents were members.

Currently a resident of Des Plaines, IL, Sallman is the Compensation Manager for Lawson Products, Inc. His love of music led him to performing in the Oakton Six Piano Ensemble for more than 20 years and now finds him singing in the Park Ridge Chorale. Sallman will be performing Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 13 in B-flat major, K. 333 (315c), as well as a few themes that movie buffs will be sure to recognize!

There is no admission charge to the event, but a free-will offering box is available. The public is invited to bring their lunch while they enjoy the music.

Please note this is our last concert in our 2023-2024 season. We plan to return on the first Friday in September for our third season of free concerts. We greatly appreciate your support of this fun series.
